DEEP announced on August 26 that current DEEP JEWELS strawweight champion Machi Fukuda will compete in Road to UFC on Friday and interim DEEP lightweight champion Juri Ohara will appear at ROAD FC on Saturday. The announcement confirms their current DEEP title labels for this weekend’s assignments.
Fukuda’s tournament semifinal
UFC’s official Shanghai card lists Fukuda against Meng Bo in the Road to UFC women’s strawweight semifinal. This is a tournament bout, not a DEEP JEWELS championship defense, so Fukuda’s DEEP title status remains separate from the result.
Ohara’s ROAD FC matchup
